Phones ringing after abandoning waiting queue
Hello everybody,
I'm new to this forum and need help from more experienced users, I couldn't find any other post or wiki helping me to solve this.
I'm using IP302 (Version10.00 sr40 IP302[10.1388], Bootcode[101388], Hardware[306]) and having trouble on waiting queues.
Every time a call abandon the waiting queue phones keep ringing for an amount of time proportinal to "Response Timeout". I mean, if an incoming call ends during the waiting queue before anyone answer, the phone keeps ringing for some seconds: it goes on for 20 seconds if "Response Timeout" is 120 seconds, a few seconds if "Response Timeout" is 5 seconds. Instead, if I route the call directly to a phone, it stops ringing as soon as caller ends the call.
This happens to me on different Innovaphone pbx and phone connected, but all use licenses Version10. May be this is an issue of this version or may be this has somthing to do with my setup?

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated,
David

Re: Phones ringing after abandoning waiting queue
Hi David,
I do not know this problem. Can we see your configuration?
Only extern calls or also intern calls to the WQ?

Re: Phones ringing after abandoning waiting queue
Hi Roland,
I uploaded a configuration copy without some sensitive data to http://internet.one/pbx/complete-IP302.zip
Referring to the configuration, calling WQ number 911 (with timeout 120) is an example of the issue we are talking about. An intern call to the very same queue works as expected: phones stop ringing as soon as it leaves the queue ending the call without delay.

Best regards,
David

Re: Phones ringing after abandoning waiting queue
Hi David,

i found a waiting queue 911 without a defined primary group. Only an active group named 'assistenzatecnica'. So this one is used as secondary group.
But this is probably not the cause.

Which trunk do you use? Can you test the option "Automatic hangup" on the trunk object which yoused?

A PBX syslog would also help.

Regards

Re: Phones ringing after abandoning waiting queue
Hi Ronald,
sorry for the long delay. I finally found the culprit: voip provider wasn't sending BYE SIP message when the other end was hanging up. It took a while to find out, but in the end it wasn't an Innovaphone issue and as soon as I found, the provider fixed.
Thank you again,
best regards.
