myApps Windows should auto detect new audio equipment connected to PC
Hi Experts, I'm writing you to add a "feature request" related to myApps Windows tool.
I've implemented a little call center using myApps and enable the softphone feature.
All works well but the operators ask me a way to auto detect new audio equipment connected to PC.

Let me explain. Every operators have its own headset.
During the change turn, an operator remove the headset from PC but leave myApps active and running. In the while a new operator arrives and connect his headset to PC.
myApps doesn't detect the new audio equipment in real time and doesn't switch to the new equipment in real time (normal behaviour of program like skype and so on).
A manual config is always necessary and operators are annoyed by this.

Please, consider to add these feature:
- auto detect new audio devices connected to PC
- propose to use it automatically

Best regards.

Re: myApps Windows should auto detect new audio equipment connected to PC
Hi, new audio device should appear automatically in the softphoneApp when plugged in. If not, please activate App, Browser und Audio trace flags, plug in the audio device and send us the trace.
Has each operator a different user? must an operator log into myApps or all operator use the same user?
With different users, each operator device should be automatically selected because the selection is kept in the browser cache for this user.
Regards, Sergio.

Re: myApps Windows should auto detect new audio equipment connected to PC
Hi, we are using myApps.exe file in order to open a custom url during incoming calls. No the browser link.

Let me explain all the steps. If I open the App, the system show me only the audio devices integrated in my PC. If I connect my headset nothing happen. I need to close the softphone clicking on the X in the upper left part of the menu and click on the softphone again.
At this point I can see the headset in the audio devices list.

The call center is manage by volunteers in a non for profit organization. They don't have specific IT skill. For this reason we have configured a call center user for every PC site. PC number 1 will use the call center user 1, PC 2 will use the user 2 and so on.

During the change turn, the persons leave myapp active and they simply remove the headset.
The new operator simply connects its headset but nothing happens. It's necessary close the softphone and open it again.

I hope all is clear.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
Regards.

Usually arriving or departing audio devices are automatically detected. in the log you provided the audio traces are missing, please set the Audio trace, reproduce and provide us with the log.

Re: myApps Windows should auto detect new audio equipment connected to PC
If I use myApp from the web browser, the browser detects the new audio device without problem and switch automatically from speaker to headset and viceversa.
No click or changing in settings are necessary from operator.

If I use the myApp for Windows installed in the PC, this not happens. The operator must select the audio device.

I'm using myApp for Windows due to the possibility to call an external application during incoming calls. In my case I've configured a specific CRM landing page.

I could use the web version if the external application feature was available. Do you know if this feature could be implemented also in the web version of myApp?

Regards.
