Group names with double spaces are stored with single space
We noticed strange behavior when we issue HTTP XML commands via a pass through URL. When we provide group names that have two spaces behind each other in them, they are stored as a group name with only one space.
After we found this while using the http client (with URL enconding), we tested in the old v12 user interface of innovaphone, and we noticed the same behavior. If you enter a group name for a user that has two spaces, the name is stored with only one space.
Two questions:
- is this a bug or is this intentionally done like this?
- if this is intentionally done like this, are there any other rules that are applied to group names, or are there certain characters not allowed, or...
The reason why this is important is that we also must set the same group name for example for a pickup function key, and if we enter two spaces their, the name does not match with the actual group name.
According to me this is a bug since you should reformat provided names. There is also no documentation in the help about what characters for names are allowed in a group, so one may assume this is possible.
Kind regards,
