NTP settings do not take effect for logging
Hi all,

i tried to set the ntp settings for logging correctly, but it does not work properly. The time inside the log files of an app (over AP Manager) is one hour behind the time displayed in "AP Manager -> Settings". Under "Admin UI -> Services -> NTP" i can see that the sync is running. Did i miss a configuration step?

Kind regards
Mladen

Re: NTP settings do not take effect for logging
Hi Mladen,

logging on the AP is always done in UTC time, regardless of your NTP settings.

Trace files in 13r3 will contain a header similar to this:

Trace of manager 13r3 137514 dvl innovaphone Uptime:0d 4h 3m 38s UTC time:2022-03-04T09:42:41Z

Greetings,
Daniel

Re: NTP settings do not take effect for logging
Hi Daniel,

ahhh okay, thanks. This means if i want to compare Tracefiles/app log files and wireshark trace i should set my wireshark time settings (whatever system i run it on) to UTC so that log entries timestamp can be compared.

Greetings
Mladen
