we implemented the Microsoft 365 connector on our inhouse PBX.

The mapping of the Users from PBX to Teams is a little bit tricky as of right now.

At the moment, the only 2 mapping options on the PBX side are Longname or Name.

For our PBX both of those are provisioned with Name.Lastname (e.g. Max.Mustermann)

On Teams side, the only option to match this is taking the emailadress and cutting off the domain part.

The problem is, when you have Users with an Umlaut or a ß in their name for example.

Because in the teams emailadress these do not exist obviously.

So my workaround right now is to manually rewrite all these users in the Name field of the user object to match what's in the emailadress on the Teams side, but since we work with a provisioning system for the users it will get overwritten again everytime I would do some change on one of these users.

So I wanted to ask, if it is possible to add the email adress as a mapping option on the PBX side, so we can just map emailadress on emailadress on both sides.

I guess that would generally be the easiest option for a match in most cases.
