Cant change audio device in softphone call

While in a call via softphone, if I change the audio device, I dont hear and cant speak anymore. Even when changing back to the original device, there is no sound.
Curiosly, when starting the function test right next to the selected audio device, It starts working. Not only for the test but also for the call. But if you stop the function test or close the menu of the softphone settings, the device stops working again in the call.
Is this a known issue and is there any way to fix it without having to recall?
Didnt find anything similar on the forums.
