Several Q.931 derivates or subsets are used, namely the Digital Subscriber Signalling System No. 1 (DSS1, more commonly known as Euro-ISDN) and QSIG. Also, the first widely adopted VoIP protocol H.323 (more precisely, its call control part H.225) is based on Q.931.
