Ajax (programming)

Alarm

Indication of an error situation that should be fixed to ensure smooth operation of the system. An alarm is triggered by an event indicating the situation and is removed by a corresponding event that indicates the problem went away.

Alias

An H.323 term referring to the data field you specify who you are in a registration message. This is typically either a name (i.e. the Name attribute in a PBX object, a.k.a H323ID field) or a phone-number/extension (i.e. the Number attribute in a PBX object, a.k.a. E164 field).

announcement call

An announcement call in innovaphone speech is a call carrying a vendor specific H.323 facility marking the call as an announcement call. Such a call will be accepted by innovaphone IP phone immediately by going into hands-free mode.

AOC

Acronym for Advice of Charge , stands for transmitting of call detail records.

There are differnet types like

AOC-D - sends the AOC During a call

AOC-E - sends the AOC at the End of a call- innovaphone supports this mode.

AOC-S - sends the AOC at the call Setup time.

API

Acronym for Application Programming Interface

An API is a set of functions that gives programs access to specific services provided by a server or a library. For example, the myApps client exposes APIs so that Apps can access services provided by other Apps.

Application programming interface

ARI

Access Rights Identifier. Unique identifier for a DECT service provider (i.e. DECT-System). There might be multipe ARIs for a DECT system: PARI, SARI and TARI.
