A radio that has a direct connection to the IP Dect Master. A base station can set up a voice channel between the handset and the PBX, thus adding base stations will add channels to the system thus enlarging the number of concurrent calls possible. It also increases the systems coverage.

A commonly used term for a list of items which are excluded from a specific service. For example, an IP address could be put on a web servers blacklist if it is known to be the source of attacks.

When a call party A has a call to another call party B and transfers this call to a new call party C without setting up a consultation call first, then this is referred to as blind transfer.

When a consultation call is created first just like with normal transfer, but the consultation call is still in alerting state when the transfer is done, this is sometimes referred to as semi-blind transfer.

Call Transfer

When the call between A and B is not yet connected (i.e. it is still alerting), then transferring the call to C is strictly speaking a call deflection, although this is often referred to as blind transfer too.

A call method where a call is initiated only once the complete target number is available (e.g. dialled by the user) and fully available in the call setup.
