Ringing when a new waiting call is comming and phone is in offhook state

For our customer is very important to hear ringing when a new waiting call is comming to the phone.
Information on display isn't sufficient, audible alert in handset isn't sufficient ... they would need a ring (phone shoud be optimaly ringing with choosen melody and other parameters, which are setup in "ring filter").
Is it possible to enable loud ringing while desk phone (concretely IP240) is in offhook state?

). Honestly, this is a rather exotic requirement...

Thank's for your hints ...
We solved this with an additional phone - PC or any other device doesn't allowed due to security issue (just only for maintenance and configuration purposes).
This scenario was build up almost one week ago

... but the customer isn't satisfied with this.

So ... my question from the first post is still alive ... is possible to enable ring for waiting call on the same phone?

I've an idea concerning the GUI design (complying with our requirements which we have for this feature), so I'll try to create a new suggestion with a vote ability.

So extra phones, registrations, or a loud external ringing-device, is not an option.

Can you tell me why the phone should ring in the first place? Is it just 1 user in one room... just a little more context might help.

Is it somebody that only internal calls? Then director/secretary might be something

If it's external calls in one waiting queue then I would do something with 'call waiting' default sound... but setting this might annoy the user. However a ringing phone during a call in process usually does annoy me. More waiting queues or 'emergency' calls would be another scenario.

Then we have the loads of people (transport planners for example) that even have their handset between shoulder and head when they go home at night... they want to constantly accept lines on the phone without letting their valuable handset go.

Those I would advise MyPbx and Headset, return of investment is in weeks maybe just a few months... seriously and I don't have Innovaphone stocks ;).

We just got the same requirement for a customer.
Have you found a solution for this?

In our use case, the phone is used on the reception to answer normal calls.

The company has a internal emergency number which can be called, and then the person at the reception has to take the call, not matter if she is already on the phone.

And it should ring different, signaling the emergency, so she hears that's it a emergency.
