GSM Gateway, Callback to CGPN
Hi guys,

we acutally have a request from a client which has in principle following situation:
- 2xISDN BRI
- 30 extensions

He thinks about an upgrade of his phone system and wants to use a GSM gateway for cheap international calls and cell phone calls.

As far as I know it is only possible to send the Caller ID of the GSM-SIM, there is no possibility to send the number of the ISDN line.
Anyhow is it possible to re-route the callback to the original caller?

For example:
Extension 10 is calling a international number which will be routed through the GSM gateway:
EXT10 calls INT01, on the display of INT01 the number MOB01 will be displayed. When INT01 will do a callback to MOB01 the call should be automatically rerouted to EXT10 instead of the switchboard.

For my understanding this should be easy to implement, because the PBX knows which number is called by which extension and should therefore be possible to reroute an incomming call the corresponding extension.

Are there any recommondations concerning the GSM gateways? As far as I have seen in the Wiki the 2N® VoiceBlue Next should be pretested (the VoiceBlue Next is the replacment for the VoiceBlue light).

Best Regards,
Peter

Re: GSM Gateway, Callback to CGPN
to be honest, we have now for several years no real requests for the integration of GSM gateways, so the last one we looked at was 2N. Before we looked at Quescom and eventually we had a Vierling here. All of these tests are outdated though, so we can't be of much help here. But perhaps other users have more recent experience!

Regarding your call-back feature: I understand that this was part of the Quescom gateway years ago.

Are you prepared to implement a bit yourself? Based on our reporting and a little SOAP and XML scripting, this probably could be implemented by yourself wink

hi

the function you want to implement is a feature of the 2n voice blue next gateway. i made this configuration years ago.

but i don´t know if you can configure that with the voice blue light.
i think you can configure it.

Re: GSM Gateway, Callback to CGPN
hi,

thanks for your quick reply!

the 2n voiceblue next gateway is also the prefered solution by the client, the voiceblue light is not available anymore. good to know that it may work ;)

@richi: do you have a more or less detailed documentation how to configure it using the innovaphone system?

anyhow, i do not understand why this is not used anymore by most of the phone system providers. in austria you get a simcard with 1000 minutes to all european countries incl. cell phones for around 25€, i cannot find a sip provider which can offer such rates. maybe someone has a tip for me too? maybe i can convince my client that gsm gateways are "old fashioned" ;)

thanks for your support & best regards,
peter

Re: GSM Gateway, Callback to CGPN
hi peter,

just register the 2n to the pbx (gatway-gk).

then configure the routing table, if a mobile number is called, send the call to the 2n gk-interface. and of course the other direction too.

in the 2n config you have to configure the autoCLIP feature. here you have to configure the gsm incoming groups.
> enable the autoCLIP feature by choosing the "time to keep clip in table".
> configure "list of called numbers" > her you can define to which internal number a call, that does not match the autoclip table, should be sent.

i hope this helps.
