Swphone issues : headset loose setting + icons frustation

Hi, everytime, on new connecion, swphone creates an extra icon in systay? this is verry annoying, how to fix it?

also, my plantronics headset, when my PC is already connected or turned on, and i turn on my BT headset afterwards, it doesnt go to the correct setting , it needs to be on : HeadSet PLT 'Legend hans free"

it always defaults to headset, and if on headset mode, i dont hear the other person speaking , audio is only one way then

so everytime i turn on the BT, i always needs to reset swphone or kill and restart

Yes, we got extra icon in systay problem too.

ok, a workaround? or will it be fixed in .13 ?

and what about the headset issue? you also have a bluetooth headset ?

Hello Fabio,

can you try to open swphone and configure it properly and then go to %appdata%\innovaphone\ and set the folder "softwarephone" to "read-only". Now the files cant be changed by the system anymore and you should always have the configured devices.

yes, we already tried that

this file is already read only swphone_local.cfg , in this dir : C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\innovaphone\SoftwarePhone

even the contents of that file is good :

<DSP><devicename_in>Headset+%28PLT_Legend+Hands-Free%29</devicename_in><devicename_out>Headset+%28PLT_Legend+Hands-Free%29</devicename_out><devicename_ring>Headset+%28PLT_Legend+Hands-Free%29</devicename_ring><devicename_free>Headset+%28PLT_Legend+Hands-Free%29</devicename_free></DSP>

so for a quick check , i turn off my BT, then do a reset, and again, its "headset" instead of "headset PLT Legend" in softwarephone config , and the contents of that file are unchanged

but normally , changing files to readonly, is not even needed , those kind of workarounds, we did indeed do in the years 2000 , not now...

Hey Norbert,

that's actually a pretty cool trick!

I have a problem with the latest swphones. The phones randomly loose configuration parameter like username and / or password.

Obviously that's annoying, but I cannot figure out how it looses the configuration.
If I use this trick, the config file will never be overwritten, correct?

Thank you, I was looking for the problem too hard, instead for a solution :P
