SDK can't create connection to app

Hello everyone,

I'am trying to create a new application with the innovaphone sdk but I get this error.

NOTE: New remote connection - user 'callpoint' already exist.

When I get it nothing happens...

The app object is created on the ipva but as soon as I want to add a remote connection I get the notice above.

After I click on connect it seems like the sdk is trying something but in the end nothing happens and the remote connections windows is still empty and I get the info the there is already a user with that name.

How can I fix this?

Hi Sascha,

I have the same problem right now.

I reinstalled the SDK including VS19 Extension and also installed a new ipva and App platform.

But I still get the same error:

"NOTE: New remote connection - user 'xxx' already exist."

Have you found a solution to this?

Or can maybe someone else point into the right direction, please.

Hmm, can you login to your AP Manager and delete your App Service there (if you need the database, make a backup of the instance before)?

Then close the Visual Studio, reopen it and try it again.

Hi Daniel,

I have installed a completely new AP to be sure the problem is not on the currently active one. There is no App Service installed beside the standard apps.

I already restartet VS19 and also my PC.

To clarify the Problem a little more. VS19 never created a new App Service. It tries to create one and tells me the error above.

After checking in the PBX i can see, there is an object created with the App name. Deleting the object and trying again returns me the same error.

Can you click on the AP Manager in the left tree, go to Diagnostics and enable AppWebsocket + App trace flags.

Then try it again inside Visual Studio and attach the AP Manager log file here.

Now it is redirecting me to the window before (see picture).

But the app is not in the dropdown. If i trie to create it again, it will give me the same error:

You could try to remove all existing connections in the connection manager of the extension under Tools -> innovaphone SDK.

Then restart VS and try it again.

But as already requested I would like to see the logfile of the AP Manager with the corresponding log flags.

Yes, this was the log. Seems as if your AP already contains a linux user test004.

You can delete this user manually.

Then type su and use password iplinux for the root user.

Afterwards execute these commands:

deluser test004

delgroup test004

Then you can try it again in VS.

I have done as you requested, but delgroup didn't work: "delgroup: unknown group test005".

I have tried the same thing with test004 and test005.

You can see the full log, since creation yesterday, in the txt file.

Maybe you can find some information in another spot.

I encountered another problem right now.

After removing all AP connections in the Connection Manager there is an error popup and VS19 crashes.

I think it is because i havent removed all apps only the AP connections.

I already tried reinstalling the extension.

How can I reset the connection manager?

The extension stores connections in two files:

%APPDATA%\innovaphone\VisualStudioPackage\AppPlatformConnectionStore.xml

%APPDATA%\innovaphone\VisualStudioPackage\ServiceInfo.xml

Try to close Visual Studio, rename these files and restart Visual Studio again.

But I'm now also a bit guessing. Our developer for this is currently not available.

We discovered, that one of the latest VS2019 (maybe also 2017) updates broke our Connection Management inside the extension.

We're now investigating this issue.

any updates on this matter?

I wanted to try it again and updated VS19 and the innovaphone SDK but still the same error for VS19.

I also tried VS17. Here it seems to work the standard App is compiling and starting without any issues.

I will use VS17 for now, but it would be nice to use VS19 in the future.
