A SERIOUS crisis after updating SDK

Dear Innovaphone,

I upgraded the SDK this morning after Visual Studio offered me the option, but then got 20 errors when I tried to upload my up to test.

Since the errors indicated something of the IP address I thought I’ll see if I see something in the connection manager, however, when I opened the connection manager I got an unresponsive connection manager where I can’t even see my connections. I could delete my connection, but not create a new one and do no scrolling. This is the screenshot:

I didn’t take a screenshot of the initial errors, but the following screenshot when I debug now looks almost the same, so I include it as well.

At the moment I can do absolutely nothing until the connection works again and the app can be uploaded again like before the update.

Yours,

Hannes

Re: A SERIOUS crisis after updating SDK
Hi Hannes,

this looks like broken SDK files:
can you try to delete the sdk folder inside your app project folder and restart visual studio?
This should force a reinstall of the SDK folder into your project.
If this doesn't help, you may uninstall the innovaphone SDK completely and reinstall it from scratch.

For the unresponsive UI:
do you use RDP? Or maybe the scaling feature of windows? Maybe you can set the scaling to just 100% for a test and restart visual studio? Just a guess ...

Greetings,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

I did everything in the sequence you stated above and got the same result. The connection manager doesn't work. I also changed scaling to 100%, but that didn't do anything either.

I even upgraded Visual Studio but it still doesn't work.

HELP!!

Thanks,

Hannes

Daniel you won't believe it but I installed the SDK again and now I can upload my app, but the connection manager is still not working. This is really strange, but I'm not going to fiddle around with anything right now. Maybe someone else gets the same issue and find a solution, and then you can let me know what the solution is.

Did you restart you PC? Somethings that helps, too. I had another problem with Visual Studio (the focus went to another app after showing the code completion window). And only a windows reboot fixed that.

Re: A SERIOUS crisis after updating SDK
Hi Marc,

I've tried that as well. Something that can be a problem is the fact that my windows is a virtual machine in VMware, but how I can test that I have absolutely no clue.

The fact that it hadn't happened until yesterday is also very suspicious. Anyway if no one else gets this problem then it is on my side. Right now I have my connection, but once I have to build a new connections I'll have to see what I do.
