New IP222A Watchdog firmware restart

Hello everyone, I have big problems with the new IP222A hardware 3010 with 2 extension modules. the phone works while the extension modules don't work. Phone every day hard reset with firmware watchdog error. I noticed that the phone memory becomes completely saturated before the restart. unfortunately for the new IP222A there is only one firmware available V13 R3 SR2. I have already changed with another IP222A and other extension modules but the problem remains. Do you have any suggestions or similar experiences ?

Did you check twice that your switch can deliver enough power? Is any other device connected via USB?

We had a similar problem that was solved after giving the phone port a higher PoE priority at the switch configuration.

I add the restart that just made the IP222A, this happens every day.

I connected another IP222A from another customer with only 1 extension module and I have the same restart problem when the phone memory gets full.

In this case you have to create a ticket at Innovaphone support.
After restart of the phone you can get a crashdump from Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Trace. This is needed and also the details of the error message and a configuration file of the phone (download with standard password).

I tried to power the IP222A+1 extension module with the local 12V power supply and then also with a 30W POE+ injector but the problem remains, the extension module blocks after a few moments while the telephone works correctly. today the SR3 firmware for the IP222A was uploaded on the download portal but the problem remains. I have 3 IP222A extension modules and 4 which all behave the same. while with the same configuration everything works correctly with the old IP222 and IP232. now I will make a RMA for the IP222A because it is not right to launch a new product without testing it and then asking the partner to troubleshoot.

Hi Elias, the very kind Gerrit Beuko opened a support ticket and had already let me try the new firmware 13.0000 IP222A. The outcome was positive now the IP222 no longer saturates the memory and therefore does not perform a watchdog restart. Furthermore the extension modules work correctly by not restarting or blocking. Thanks for collaboration.
