myapps: automatically select new plugged in audio device

A customer has 50 employees that takes the notebook from work to home and vise versa.

At the office, a wireless jabra headset is used. at home they allso have a wireless headset.

Every time the customer arrives at work or home, they need to select the headset again. (The first call don't work as the wrong device is picked by myapps)

Feature request 1: possibility to select favorite devices, myapps picks a device from the favorite list.

Feature request 2: automatically select the latest plugged in audio device as default device in myapp. (this one is most important imo)

imo this would be very helpful in many case

same problems here with softphone.

Once the customer, selects it headset, it will be used next time once pluged in (just tested that on 14SR2)

But would be way more usefull when selecting the latest new audio communication device

Hey Davy,

I'm undecided whether I think this is good or not; maybe it would be better to prompt a question, like 'New audio device (Name) found. Do you want to use it?'. That's the way other solutions handle this, and I think it's working fine.

I will give you a workaround: Create two softphones and name them office and home. Now, you can set different preferences for this and only need to change your preferred phone app.
