How can I add busysignal audio tone when a call is started via rcc api and callee is busy
Hi

If RCC API is used to call someone who is busy at the time of the call, the RCC API immediately disconnects the call without playing any busy audio tone on the headset. Instead, we receive a disconnect cause as a text API message.
Is it possible to have a busy audio tone (for a few seconds) in the headset when the call is disconnected abnormally?

Best Regards
Iqbal

Hello Iqbal,

do I understand correctly that this is only relevant if you control an IP telephone or a softphone via RCC API ?
I am sure that it is related to Mobility in connection with the RCC Api, as it would not make sense to build up the reputation first.

Hi Peter
in general its relevant to both. if you call someone directly via IP telephone or a softphone and he or she is busy on other call, in this situation you hear busy signal audio tone but for calls over rcc that is not the case and we only get disconnect cause as websocket message from rcc api.
Am I doing something wrong or ist that default behavior ?

But if you use RCC for Mobility the PBX would call your Mobile Phone via GSM just for that, that you could accept the call and than hear an busy.
So the RCC shows only the busy in the Client.

Why do you need the busytone in the device, if the destination is busy and this is displayed in the UI ?

Hi Peter
No we are not using RCC for Mobility. But we have found the problem, when in softphone App settings "Automatic hang-up" is activated, then no busy tone audio is played.
Thank you for your help.

Okay big grin now think i got it.
  • You control Softphone App with RCC-API
  • The Setting "Automatic hang-up" in combination with using the control of the softphone over RCC-API results => no busy tone.

Two lasts question ;). So than i hope i can simulate it in my test setup..
  • Is the Softphone you control with rcc opened in myApps Launcher or in a browser ?
  • What happens if ""Automatic hang-up" is not active ?
Best Regards

Hello Iqbal,

i can not reproduce your case.
  • I try to control my softphone with rcc.
  • Then i call a busy endpoint.
  • My Softphone is dialing and i hear busytone.
  • Automatic hangup is activated.
I have tested with the latest 14R2 Beta4.

On which version do you have tested ?

Best Regards,

Peter
